myTripBook is a travel diary and forward planner that you can keep private, share with friends or have open to all- a place to keep a record of all your trips and travel experiences. You can enter trips that you have taken and ones that you are planning for the future, add photos and videos and also keep a journal for each trip. There is also a section to add recommendations from for the hidden gems that you have discovered and want to share- such as a bar, restaurant, hotel or hostel or just a particular activity.

Member conduct:

Users under 13 years of age may not become a member of myTripBook. If you are under 16 years of age you must have parental consent to become a member of myTripBook.

Members must not use myTripBook for commercial, illegal or unauthorised reasons or post defamatory, pornographic, unlawful, abusive or offensive content. This includes using the site to promote commercial interests, posting or sending unsolicited commercial messages ("spam").

Members are responsible for their own profile page, must keep their password information confidential and must not transmit any worms, trojans or viruses. Members must not impersonate someone else or use the site to transmit unwanted material to other members of myTripBook.com.

Members agree that they may not upload content that they do not have permission to do so- this includes all photographs and wording which must not breach any copyright or intellectual property laws. In the event that photographs, videos or texts are submitted that are not the exclusive property of the member, the permission of the author must be obtained.

Members or visitors to the site must not download or copy content from myTripBook to use for commercial purposes or any other use other than personal use.

Members retain the right to terminate their own membership to myTripBook.com at any point, which can be done by sending "unsubscribe" through the Contact form.

Conditions

myTripBook aims to provide a safe, informative and useful environment for its members and reserves the right to terminate the membership of members who do not abide by this. myTripBook also reserves the right to decline membership to users.

myTripBook reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time which will shall become effective on the posting thereof. Your continued use of the website myTripBook constitutes acceptance of such changes. Members should therefore regularly review this document to be aware of any changes.

myTripBook claims no ownership of the content you submit to the site but by doing so you grant and also confirm that you have the right to grant to myTripBook a transferable, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully sublicensable right to use, reformat, reproduce, adapt, translate, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display and also grant to myTripBook the right to use the member user name that you submit in connection with such content.

Privacy policy

myTripBook collects personal data from members during the process of registration- e.g. name, home town, age, e-mail address. myTripBook will not pass this information to third parties for commercial reasons or divulge this to other members of myTripBook. myTripBook may however be forced to disclose this information to government or third parties under certain circumstances if required to do so by law or if third parties unlawfully intercept this information. myTripBook reserves the right to pass this information to third parties as part of the sale or transfer of the shares and/or assets of myTripBook. Content submitted to the site once you have become a member of myTripBook may be able to be able to be viewed by other members and visitors to the site, in accordance with the privacy settings that you have chosen. This will never include the personal information that you have submitted as part of the registration process such as real name (rather than username) and email address. Members may receive messages through the site to their myTripBook inbox, in accordance with the privacy settings that have been chosen. Members may receive emails from myTripBook to their own personal email addresses but not from third parties.

myTripBook may use a standard technology called "cookies". Cookies are small pieces of information stored on a user's hard drive and not on the myTripBook's website. Cookies allow users to log in without entering users' log in information each time users visit myTripBook. Users may not be able to use the myTripBook.com website if they disable cookies.

myTripBook may also engage in affiliate marketing programs whereby if visitors to the myTripBook website make a booking through one of the advertised links for third party travel service providers or through the booking services on the site, myTripBook receives a commission. This may involve these advertisers using third party technology (including tracking technology) to monitor where visitors to their sites are coming from. For information on how your personal information will be used by these travel service providers you book with, myTripBook recommends that you read their privacy policies. In the event of any booking being made through myTripBook, all email correspondence that you receive will detail how to check the privacy policy and terms and conditions of that third party. All personal information submitted in the process of purchasing travel services from myTripBook, such as credit card information, will never be stored by myTripBook but rather is registered directly with the third party service and is handled in accordance with their own terms of use and privacy policies.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold myTripBook, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers and employees, harmless, including costs and lawyers' fees, from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of (i) your access to the myTripBook site, (ii) the violation of these Terms of Service by you, or (iii) the infringement by you, or any third party using your account or User ID or password, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
